Love the monochrome shot. The scenery looks spectacular.
I had to comment just because of that "lady in the hat" button encouraging (threatening?) me to do so. Very effective.

We didn't get the snow in our part of the state. Rain, yes.
I love your header with the cute little ducks. I once raised a baby duck who wasn't able to leave the nest when the rest did, it was left behind and would have died otherwise.
Here in Iowa I was just south enough, so that the snow missed us yesterday, we just had some rain showers and wind. Today it is sunny, but cold.
